Rev. David & Holly Church
Pastor David Church is from Oshawa in Ontario, Canada. He graduated in 1992 from Indiana Bible College in Indianapolis with an Associates Degree in Theology. After graduating, he went back to Oshawa to preach and began teaching at the Apostolic Missionary Institute, a small Bible college that was a part of the church his father, Reverend B.J. Church, was pastor over.
Later, he journeyed back to Indianapolis in to marry his longtime girlfriend, Holly Frymier. Together, they lived in Oshawa while David continued to teach at AMI. In 1994 they started traveling between Oshawa and Indiana while David worked as a carpenter, building homes in both locations. They finally settled in Chesterton, Indiana in 1995 and began attending the local UPC church, where he later participated in home missions work. In 2002, David became the Pastor of the Chesterton church, New Life Tabernacle. God revealed yet another plan for David and Holly in October of 2007 when David was elected as the new pastor of the Valparaiso United Pentecostal Church, and he merged the Chesterton and Valparaiso works into one congregation, Life Church. David is also a framer/contractor by trade and works throughout Northwest Indiana building homes. He has also served as the framing contractor for several "Church in a Day" projects for the UPCI organization throughout the U.S. and Canada. David aserves as Section 1 Director for North American Missions for the Indiana District of the United Pentecostal Church. Holly is the Music Director for Life Church as well as serving as the director of Life Church's various ladies' ministries.
Pastor and Sis. Church have three children, Adriene, Davis, & Barrett.
Troy and Maggie Quick
While studying at Ball State University, Troy Quick attended a United Pentecostal Church where he repented of his sins and dedicated his life to the Lord. After graduating in 1991 with a Bachelors degree in Technology Education, he returned to Northwest Indiana where he was born and raised.
Soon after returning to Northwest Indiana, he met his wife Maggie Bedroya and they married in 1995. Troy & Maggie began building their careers. After working as a quality manager for a steel equipment repair company, Troy left to begin his own construction business and built homes throughout the area. Troy is a talented woodsman and carpenter by trade. After graduation in 1995 from Purdue University with a Bachelors degree in Business/Economics, Maggie has built a career as a financial advisor.
Troy began his ministry in 2004, Preaching, teaching Sunday School, leading the Singles Ministry, and teaching a College & Career class at the Portage United Pentecostal Church. Maggie has worked by his side as a Sunday School teacher as well as having worked as the Ladies Ministries event coordinator. Maggie has been singing most of her life, and is a part of the music team, using her talent to sing & glorify God.
Troy and Maggie have three children...Alexis, Carson, and Gavin.
